It is official…
Better Bikes has been sold to Bike Barn as of April 12, 2012. Bike Barn is in full operation at the Better Bikes location in Atascocita. Please make a special point to go by the shop and say hello to Steve Medley, Shop Manager, and the rest of the Bike Barn team (including several former Better Bikes guys). Bike Barn Atascocita is going to be my bike shop and I encourage you to support the shop as well.
I want to express my sincere thanks to each one of you who supported Better Bikes over the 5 years of our operation. From very humble beginnings at Pinehurst the shop grew to a very dynamic operation at our Atascocita location. And, it is through your support, prayers and God’s provision that we were able to achieve the success we achieved. It is a bittersweet time for me, not necessarily because of the business change, but because of the relationships developed with you that will change. I am absolutely sure that we received more than we gave and for that, I and the entire Better Bikes team are grateful. In the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer:
“In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.”
Finally, Casey is off to Austin and should be starting work with Bicycle Sport Shop by now. I know you will miss him greatly as I will.
